Pete Pieri: My artwork mainly reflects my love of the countryside and its wildlife. I love to capture the beauty of the changing seasons on the landscape. working mainly in acrylics, the Eden Valley is the inspiration for a lot of my work, where I spend time along the river banks, farms and woodlands.

'My artwork is inspired by my love of the countryside and its wildlife, especially my local area around North Cumbria. Having spent time at Leeds College of Art & Design, it was Cumbria I returned to. I tend to stay away from painting the tourist hotspots of the Lake District, preferring instead to paint the quieter parts of the Eden Valley. Using acrylics, I like to capture the changing seasons in the woodlands, riverbanks, farms and villages of this beautiful area.'
